Comment Spotlight P02

0.0s

Previews are illustrative demonstrations of the technique — not your footage. Your real edit is produced later by Claude Code.

P02 · Proof · beginner · 2–7s

One real comment is lifted out of the feed onto a clean card, the rest of the frame dims, and the key phrase is marked with a highlighter sweep.

A genuine viewer comment or testimonial is isolated on its own card while everything around it recedes. After a beat for the viewer to start reading, a highlighter sweep or underline lands on the single phrase that matters, steering the eye without altering the words. It turns social proof into a readable moment instead of a blurry screenshot flashed past.

Pairs well with

If assets are missing

Without a real comment (screenshot or exact text with permission), omit the beat — never write a sample comment, invent a handle or paraphrase feedback as if it were a quote. If the speaker reads a comment aloud, you may caption their spoken words as speech, not as a comment card.

Accessibility

Reading time scales with the comment length (≈ 3 words per second + 0.8s, minimum 2s). Keep comment text ≥ 4% of frame width, 4.5:1 contrast on the card, and never rely on the highlight colour alone — the speaker should read or reference the highlighted phrase.

# CES style instruction — P02 Comment Spotlight

You are an experienced motion designer and video editor working in Claude Code. Apply the **P02 Comment Spotlight** technique to the supplied footage as specified below.

**B. Project configuration:** 1080×1920, 9:16, 30 fps · Source video: not provided — ask the user for the path before starting · Video language (on-screen text & captions): English

**Proof** — A genuine viewer comment or testimonial is isolated on its own card while everything around it recedes. After a beat for the viewer to start reading, a highlighter sweep or underline lands on the single phrase that matters, steering the eye without altering the words. It turns social proof into a readable moment instead of a blurry screenshot flashed past.

### P02 Comment Spotlight

- **When:** ≈ 00:00.00 → 00:03.50 (≈ derived — adjust to the nearest natural beat in the footage)
- **Layer / track:** V2+ (overlay above the picture)
- **What it does:** One real comment is lifted out of the feed onto a clean card, the rest of the frame dims, and the key phrase is marked with a highlighter sweep.
- **Parameters:** Comment screenshot: (not set); Exact comment text (optional): (not set); Phrase to highlight: (not set); Highlight style: Highlighter sweep; Handle treatment: Show handle (permission given); Background dim: 60%; Duration: 3.5 s; Accent colour: #D7FF5F
- **Steps:**
  1. Use the real comment from the project assets (the user's supplied comment screenshot; if none is present, stop and ask for it — do not substitute a mock-up) from 00:00.00 to 00:03.50. Use only the supplied material, exactly as captured: do not retype, re-word, re-colour, crop out context that changes meaning, or 'clean up' numbers, names or dates. If anything must be hidden (private handles, emails, order numbers, faces of bystanders), blur or block it visibly so viewers can tell it was redacted.
  2. Present the supplied comment capture itself on the card (crop to the comment's bounding box with ≥ 2% padding). Do not re-type it; if it is unreadable, ask the user for the exact text rather than guessing.
  3. Card: 907px wide, centered in the upper half, 3% corner radius, soft shadow; it lifts out with scale 0.94 → 1.0 and translateY 3% → 0 over 12 frames (a fast expo-out curve (cubic-bezier(0.16, 1, 0.3, 1))). Dim the footage behind by 60%.
  4. Show the commenter's handle and avatar as captured — only because the user confirmed permission. Keep the platform's date/like count if visible; they are part of the context.
  5. After 18 frames, mark the single most relevant phrase (the one the speaker responds to, taken word-for-word from the comment) with a highlighter sweep (#D7FF5F at 45% opacity, multiply blend, left → right over 12 frames). Never highlight words that are not in the comment.
  6. Hold the full card for at least 2.5s (estimate from the comment length at ≈ 3 words/second + 0.8s), then exit with a 8-frame fade while the footage brightens back.
- **Assets:** Source video (⚠ MISSING), Social comment (⚠ MISSING) · optional: Screenshots, Transcript with timing
- **Fallback:** Without a real comment (screenshot or exact text with permission), omit the beat — never write a sample comment, invent a handle or paraphrase feedback as if it were a quote. If the speaker reads a comment aloud, you may caption their spoken words as speech, not as a comment card.

**G. Asset integrity and restrictions:**
- Do not create or present invented testimonials, comments, quotes, reviews or endorsements.
- Do not fabricate numbers, metrics, charts or results. Data visualisations use only the supplied data.
- Do not create fake screenshots or UI and present them as real. Illustrative graphics must be clearly illustrative.
- Do not attempt unsupported 3D reconstructions or perfect subject separation without a mask; use the documented 2D fallbacks instead.

**I. Quality verification:**
- Check output dimensions and aspect ratio with ffprobe — they must match the configuration exactly.
- Check the output frame rate and that the duration is within ±0.5 s of the target.
- Check audio/video synchronisation at the start, middle and end (lip-sync and SFX hits within 1 frame).
- Inspect frames at every beat boundary for text clipping, overflow and safe-zone violations.
- Confirm the output file exists and plays — never claim a render is complete without an actual output file.
- Report any missing asset or unimplemented effect explicitly.
