Orbit Cards X01
Previews are illustrative demonstrations of the technique — not your footage. Your real edit is produced later by Claude Code.
X01 · Signature Effects · advanced · 2.5–8s
Supplied cards orbit the speaker on a tilted elliptical path, slipping behind them on the far side and swinging large and bright across the front.
Screenshots, photos or proof cards circle the subject like satellites. Perspective is simulated with scale, brightness and blur: on the far side cards shrink, dim and pass behind the speaker; on the near side they swell and sharpen. With a subject matte the cards truly pass behind; without one, a 2D arc keeps every card in front and fades it out where it would disappear, so the illusion never breaks.
Try the parameters
Subject separation needs a mask. The 2D fallback avoids it.
Horizontal radius as % of frame width.

If assets are missing
Without a subject matte, run the 2D arc: cards travel a front-only arc around the upper body and fade out at the ends instead of passing behind. If segmentation is attempted but flickers or tears hair edges, fall back to 2D rather than shipping a broken matte. With fewer than three cards, use B02 Floating Screenshot Cards instead.
Accessibility
Continuous circular motion can trigger motion sensitivity — keep one revolution ≥ 4s and the effect short. Any card carrying text must face the camera long enough to read, or repeat its message in captions.

updates with the parameters above# CES style instruction — X01 Orbit Cards You are an experienced motion designer and video editor working in Claude Code. Apply the **X01 Orbit Cards** technique to the supplied footage as specified below. **B. Project configuration:** 1080×1920, 9:16, 30 fps · Source video: not provided — ask the user for the path before starting · Video language (on-screen text & captions): English **Signature Effects** — Screenshots, photos or proof cards circle the subject like satellites. ### X01 Orbit Cards - **When:** ≈ 00:00.00 → 00:04.50 (≈ derived — adjust to the nearest natural beat in the footage) - **Layer / track:** V1 (main picture) - **What it does:** Supplied cards orbit the speaker on a tilted elliptical path, slipping behind them on the far side and swinging large and bright across the front. - **Parameters:** Render mode: Auto (use mask if available, else 2D); Cards: 5 cards; Time per revolution: 6 s; Orbit tilt: 18 deg; Orbit radius: 40%; Direction: Clockwise (seen from above); Orbit ring guide: on - **Steps:** 1. PREREQUISITE CHECK: cards passing behind the speaker requires the subject to be cut out so the far-side cards can be composited between the background and the person, which needs a clean subject matte (supplied, or from an external segmentation step checked for edge flicker). If a usable matte exists, build the full version; otherwise use the 2D version — keep every card in front of the subject: shift the ellipse up so its near side passes across the chest/shoulder line (never the eyes or mouth), and on the far half of the orbit fade each card to 0% and shrink it to 0.6× instead of drawing it behind the subject. Tell the user which version was rendered. 2. Layer order (matte version): background plate → far-side cards and far half of the ring → subject cut out by the matte → near-side cards and near half of the ring → captions. Re-sort each card every frame from its angle (sin θ < 0 = far side). 3. Geometry: centre the ellipse on the subject's upper chest (≈ 52% of frame height); horizontal radius 40% of frame width (432px), vertical radius 133px (from the 18° tilt). Card i sits at θᵢ = 2π·i/5 + 2π·t/6s, moving clockwise: x = cx + R·cos θ, y = cy + r·sin θ. 4. Depth cues: map d = (sin θ + 1)/2 to scale 0.62 → 1.12, brightness 0.55 → 1, blur 0.35% → 0% of frame width and shadow strength; rotate each card on Y by −cos θ × 25° so it faces along the orbit. 5. Cards: the supplied screenshots/photos at ≈ 24% of frame width, 3% corner radius, 1px light border, soft shadow. Use only the supplied media — never generate, mock up or invent cards, screens, numbers or claims. Draw a 0.25%-wide ellipse guide at 18% opacity, split into far and near halves so each half follows the same layering as the cards. 6. Timing: ease the angular speed in over 12 frames and out over the last 12; 6s per revolution gives ≈ 0.8 turns across 4.5s. Keep speed constant in between and verify no card crosses the face. - **Assets:** Source video (⚠ MISSING), Screenshots (⚠ MISSING) · optional: Subject mask / matte, Photos, Social comment - **Fallback:** Without a subject matte, run the 2D arc: cards travel a front-only arc around the upper body and fade out at the ends instead of passing behind. If segmentation is attempted but flickers or tears hair edges, fall back to 2D rather than shipping a broken matte. With fewer than three cards, use B02 Floating Screenshot Cards instead. **G. Asset integrity and restrictions:** - Do not create or present invented testimonials, comments, quotes, reviews or endorsements. - Do not fabricate numbers, metrics, charts or results. Data visualisations use only the supplied data. - Do not create fake screenshots or UI and present them as real. Illustrative graphics must be clearly illustrative. - Do not attempt unsupported 3D reconstructions or perfect subject separation without a mask; use the documented 2D fallbacks instead. **I. Quality verification:** - Check output dimensions and aspect ratio with ffprobe — they must match the configuration exactly. - Check the output frame rate and that the duration is within ±0.5 s of the target. - Check audio/video synchronisation at the start, middle and end (lip-sync and SFX hits within 1 frame). - Inspect frames at every beat boundary for text clipping, overflow and safe-zone violations. - Confirm the output file exists and plays — never claim a render is complete without an actual output file. - Report any missing asset or unimplemented effect explicitly.

- X02Infinite Content WallColumns of supplied screenshots and tiles scroll endlessly in alternating directions on a tilted wall behind the speaker, filling the frame.
- X03Frame BreakThe speaker or a supplied cutout bursts out of a stylised phone frame — rising past the bezel so part of them sits in front of the frame.
- X04UI WorldFloating interface panels built from supplied screens surround the speaker at several depths, drifting in 3D space as the camera slowly pushes through.
- X05Infinite Zoom TunnelSupplied images nest inside one another like frames within frames, and the camera zooms continuously through them in a seamless looping tunnel.
- X06Magnetic MosaicScattered media tiles drift and spin, then snap magnetically into a grid that assembles one larger supplied image or composition.
- X07Reality PortalA glowing portal opens in the shot and reveals a different supplied environment inside it, then grows until the new world fills the frame.
- X08Clone EchoThe speaker is duplicated into staggered, translucent echoes that trail their movement in time, fanning out like a stroboscopic multiple exposure.
- X09Cinematic CarouselSupplied media panels ride a 3D carousel; each turn swings a new card to the front, where it grows dominant while the others recede into shadow.
- X10Blueprint UniverseA plain visual transforms into a blueprint world: grid lines spread, outlines trace each part and animated paths connect the labelled components.
